PostHeaderIcon 7 Surefire Ways To Increase Your Traffic

Internet. Business. Profit. To fully integrate all of these words
into a successful merging you will need another word. Traffic.

traffic

Most articles you will find about making your site or company
successful would include the importance of generating traffic.

So, we all know that in the core of it all, traffic is the most
essential thing to a successful internet based business company.
Aside from ensuring that you have a great product to sell, it
would be time to get to generating traffic to your site and offers.

If you already have a site and you’re not getting the traffic
that you feel you are supposed to be getting, it’s time to
reconsider. In a very competitive business, you should always
be a step ahead of your competition, increasing your traffic
flow as it should have been done all along.

Timing is essential, that’s an old adage known to everyone.
But with generating traffic, you should always be on your
toes and be a day ahead of everyone. Never think of today
and tomorrow as a starting point for making your site
traffic a priority.

To help you out in generating more traffic for your site,
here are some seven surefire ways to increase your traffic.

1) Invest in good advertising with search engines

Google’s Adwords and Yahoo’s Overture provide great advertising
campaigns that are very truly popular and assures great traffic.
Of course, this surefire way to increase your traffic would cost
some money. While some would shy away from spending money to
increase traffic, it is imperative in this case to do so
because Adwords and Overture are surefire ways to increase your traffic.

You can see for yourself the success this search engine advertising
method has reaped rewards for so many companies. Lots of sites feature
these advertising systems and many have signed on to reap the benefits.
Do not be left behind. Every penny is worth it when using Google
and Yahoo advertising.

2) Exchange or Trade Links with other sites

With exchanging links with other sites, both of you will benefit
from the efforts both of you do to enhance your sites’ traffic.
When one site features another sites’ link, they could provide
one another with the traffic one site generates. The efforts
are doubly beneficial when both of you are working to generate
more traffic. The more links traded with more sites, the more
traffic could be expected.

3) Use Viral Marketing

Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company
and product at no or very low cost. This is a marketing method
that can be quite sneaky … you can attach your company’s name,
product or link to a certain media, such as a funny video,
entertaining game, an interesting article or a gossip or buzz.
With this method, people get enthused by the creativity and
entertainment of the medium and they will pass it on to others.

4) Search & use proper keywords or phrases for your site’s content

Search engines look for certain keywords that show up in their
results page. In doing so, having the right keyword and keyword
phrase is a high requirement in ranking in high in search engine
results. You could write your own content or you could hire
someone to do it for you.

5) Write Articles that can lead traffic to your site

Submit articles to sites that contain the same subject
that your site deals in. If you sell car parts, write
press releases and articles about cars and car parts.
Attach your site’s description and services at the end
of the article as well as the link. This is known as
a resource box or signature.

6) Join forums and form online communities

Capture a market and show your expertise and credibility.
When you find a good foundation for your site, people will
trust you and your site and will pass it on to many people
they know, like and trust. Traffic will certainly increase,
because they know that you can provide what they need.

7) Lastly, offer newsletters.

If many people know what you are about and your existence
is shared with many others, you will find loyal traffic
that can provide you with more traffic by recommendation.
If you arouse the curiosity of your customers, they will
be pushed to help you with your traffic.

PostHeaderIcon 4 Common Affiliate Mistakes To Avoid

Myths concerning affiliate marketing are appealing and attractive. Eager beginners are prone to believing that it is something capable of giving them great fortune overnight. Stories concerning affiliates who earn tremendous amounts of money swim in their heads, and while these stories are true for several super-sellers, there are those who believe that they are going to have the same fortune once they indulge in this particular business.

It is true enough that affiliate marketing is financially rewarding. People who have worked very hard in this venture have seen some great successes. Many of them enjoy the kind of existence that was not possible for them to have had under ordinary circumstances. Having gone through the A-Z school of affiliate marketing, however, these people are the ones who know that while such business is lucrative, there is absolutely no easy money in it.

Ignorance of this fact is one of the main reasons why there are people who fail miserably in their internet marketing business. They do not know that there are those who have wasted time, effort and too many resources in trying to pursue the life of ease that they believe this business will give them. So they go into affiliate marketing armed with nothing but myths and fantastical notions of wealth swimming in their consciousness, never realizing that they are bound to make mistakes that would prove to be their downfall.

What may be the reason why, in businesses such as affiliate marketing, many get caught up but few are successful? Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that many affiliates do not have the facts concerning how the entire business runs. Affiliate marketing is not as simple as an affiliate promoting a merchant’s wares through his website and getting paid for it. It is also about knowing the market and finding the customers for that niche.

Discovering the most common mistakes affiliates make can perhaps help to correct some wrong notions about it. It might also be able to make those concerned understand that like any other business, there are do’s and don’ts involved if they want to make each of their steps count. The first common mistake affiliates make is their lack of knowledge concerning principles involved in their business. This refers to the affiliate’s knowledge of search engines, in particular.

Affiliate marketing involves advertising, and advertising through the internet has gotten so much better with the existence of search engines. What every affiliate has to do is to make these search engines his best friend through studying search engine optimization closely. This way, he is able to know what to do in connection with building a better website to ultimately use for his business.

The second is that affiliates make the mistake of stuffing their sites with banners that do not provide enough information about the product at hand. The best way to battle this mistake is to provide good content hand-in-hand with such banners, or totally refuse to even use them. It is important for customers to know and understand the features of a product, and good content will be able to help them realize this goal.

(When I started in the then pretty new world of Internet Marketing 15 years ago, I was guilty of one of those slow-loading, banner laden UGLY web sites and pretty much signed up for every affiliate program I could find, sure that THIS was the way to make the “big money” we were hearing about. Suffice it to say that when I started whittling down the number of products I was willing to promote and started compiling, instead, a select group of products that fit special niches, my marketing had a lot more success.)

The third is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting only one product. Consequently, customers are not given enough options to choose from. There is also the risk of generating fewer sales as compared to having more options for customers to ponder over. It is always better to give them a few better alternatives than to give them only one.

The fourth is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting too many products. As a result, customers are confused and end up beyond making a choice. It is perhaps good to give them only the best choices. This is because it is ultimately up to them to judge which one is the best for them to patronize.

All in all, affiliates that are doomed to fail in this business are those who do not exert enough effort to understand everything involved in the industry that they are in. Knowing their path step by careful step will prove to be beneficial to them, as there is no other way to succeed than to go through any path slowly but surely.

I admit, I am not much of a marketer, but I do happen to have one of the longest running Internet Marketing newsletters left on the net :-)

Campaign marketing helps to hit your target audience in multiple ways. Campaign marketing can be an incredible tool for some, but can be an issue and nuisance for others. These five tips will help you to get your Internet marketing campaign off to the right start.

Know your Target

The most important thing for you to be able to do is to completely define and analyze your target market. If you are going to have an Internet marketing campaign you need to make sure that you know exactly who you are trying to talk to. This information will help you to effectively reach your consumers, making your marketing efficient.

Be Clear and Concise

If you want to have a successful Internet marketing campaign you need to be as clear and concise as possible. Clearly state the message that you are trying to get to your target audience. Muddled or confusing messages will render your Internet marketing campaign useless and unsuccessful.

Use Multiple Venues

There are multiple venues and mediums that you can use with Internet marketing, including online advertising, email marketing, and search engine optimization. Your campaign should include multiple venues and mediums, as you need to connect with your audience on as many levels as possible.

Work with Professionals

If you are thinking about an Internet marketing campaign you should consider hiring a professional Internet marketing company. Professionals are going to be able to provide you with the level of service that you need to have a clean, polished, and effective Internet marketing endeavor.

Have Patience

Internet marketing is not going to be instant; it is going to need time to be successful. PostHeaderIcon New Marketing And Promotional Ideas

New marketing and promotional ideas …

Most are related to internet-based businesses, but even those
can usually be adopted in some way to other businesses.

Here are half a dozen marketing ideas to get you thinking.

A one-hour coupon. Offline businesses that want to increase the traffic to their websites can announce an “internet coupon” good for a free drink (or whatever). The coupon would be up on the site for an hour, sometime on Friday, for example. Visitors will return again and again to try to be there at the right time to get the freebie. If you collect pay-per-click advertising fees, this repeat traffic might be especially profitable.

Free gift article teaser. A free gift is certainly not a new marketing idea, but it hasn’t been done much in internet article “resource boxes.” My click-throughs from articles increased when I started putting in the author’s resource box, “For more information and a free gift, visit…” The gift is usually a short course, or an e-book. If you don’t want to write an e-book, you can find one with free distribution rights.

Word links for sale. Maybe you have heard about the entrepreneur that sold a million pixels on one web page for a dollar each. Advertisers could buy a minimum of 100, and the image would link to their sites. I’ve seen many copycats, but I haven’t yet seen anyone selling words. This could be even better for advertisers, because they could buy the words that are relevant to their products. A page full of random words isn’t pretty, but these things get publicity and traffic for their novelty.

Product user contests. If you have a product that’s used in many ways or many places, this is a great promotional gimmick: a contest to see who has used their cell phone, watch, or whatever in the wildest place or the most unusual way. (“I took my walkman to the north pole!”) Customers could post their stories and photos directly to your company web site. They would return repeatedly to see new stories, and the results of the competition.

Advertising on cereal boxes. A lot of time is spent staring at cereal boxes. Perhaps you could get a good rate on advertising on them. They have had some advertising, but no boxes covered in ads yet. Brokering ad space on cereal boxes could be a good business to get into.

Pay for article placement. Many of us distribute articles to generate traffic to our web sites, and many also pay to advertise. Since articles are especially good marketing tools, why not pay to have other webmasters put them on their sites? This is done for free now, but not often enough. Maybe offer a small one-time fee, with a minimum time commitment. Explain that leaving the article there forever can generate search engine traffic.

Put ads on private cars, advertising on sidewalks, have a contest to see who can get your product mentioned on and seen on TV – there are endless possibilities for new marketing and promotional ideas.
