When to Ask for a Testimonial

One of my own wonderful clients, Small Business Coach and Marketing Strategist, Jennifer Davey, is the author of the “Getting Clients Home Study Program”, the step-by-step guide to getting clients, building
your business and making more income, and is also the author of
the testimonial that you see when you get to the home page of my
Virtual Assistance site. She shares this summation of when to ask
for a testimonial from your past and current clients.

Jennifer says, “Many of my clients are uncomfortable asking for testimonials.
They feel that testimonials should just come to them, and sometimes this happens.
But most of the time, clients need a nudge to write down their thoughts.

A great time to ask for a testimonial is when your client is happy with what you’ve done
for him or her, for example:

* When he or she has had success.
* When his or her problem is on its way to being solved.
* When his or her problem is solved.
* When he or she tells you he or she is happy with you.
* When he or she says thank you.
* When you deliver a product.

As soon as a client tells you that he or she is happy with you, ask if you can share
his or her story with potential clients. When he or she says yes, say, ‘Terrific, I will
send you an email with a request for a testimonial.’

Another great way to ask for a testimonial is to give your clients a survey form to fill
out whenever you complete a project, sell them a product, or finish a service.
Reach out to folks who wrote feedback and ask for permission to use their testimonials.”

Jennifer is one of my favorite proofreading clients.
I have also done transcription work for her webinars.

Social Media Virtual Assistance

Tallent Agency VA Services
I love to network and use social media but there are some sides of doing so that, for me, are more WORK than they are enjoyment. Most of the avid social networkers I come across agree.

I have a couple of clients that I assist with the “chores” facet of their networking so that they can concentrate on the FUN sides, and I know I would love to someday have a helper to do my “busy work” for me as well.

I love to do my own searches for new people to connect and interact with but a lot of the people I am in contact with do not like this stage of the game. To me, the biggest chore is weeding through new connection requests to make sure the person is someone I would want to be associated with, have something in common with or at least has something interesting to discuss now and then.

I have helped others set up their social media personas, find like-minded people for them to connect and interact with, written or at least edited their profile descriptions and weeded through their new connection requests.

I have both a personal Facebook presence and a professional or business one. Some people tend to “friend” every person that asks so that they have a huge friend list. This is probably fine for personal social gossiping, sharing fun stuff, etc. but for my business, I feel that I need to concentrate on people who are my peers or in an industry compatible with mine or that might someday either need my services or at least know someone some day who does.

I also have an account on Linkedin for the sole purpose of connecting with other business people and getting and sharing tips, advice and resources with my peers.

My most fun, and most USED social media platform is Twitter. I am quite active on twitter and have some really interactive connections there. I have also made some real friendships from being on Twitter AND have gotten the bulk of my clients and referrals from my connections with this great platform.

If you love social networking but want to concentrate on the fun, interactive and connecting side and need someone else to manage and perform your maintenance for you, please keep me in mind.

I can set up your account for you, search for people in YOUR designated criteria, weed through your connection requests for the people you DO want to be involved with, send them a personal hello and welcome so that you do not have to use an autoresponder or even send them NO hello and welcome message and pretty much anything else to make your social networking experience a more fun and/or rewarding one.

Article writer or re-writer Virtual Assistant

I edit a lot of the articles submitted to my ezine, Rim Digest,
for marketers and small business owners AND proofread
and edit web pages, blog posts and more for my clients.

I am NOT a “writer”, however, and rely on my strengths
with spelling and reading and grammar to help me help
them to show their very best face to the online or offline world.

One of the niches I find to be so helpful in things I want to write or share are PLR
or Private Label Rights articles where you pay a small fee for the use of the articles
and can edit, alter, add to or take away from something a real writer has created.

I have one such collection that I want to offer to my visitors that you can claim as your own and post in your ezines, submit to other ezines, use on your web site, use as eBook material or even offer in pieces in eCourses.

As one of my valued visitors, I’m giving you a one-time-chance
to download over 600 unique niche articles with Private Label Rights.

Professional copywriters can charge up to $250 PER article. I, myself,
have paid over $5 per article when I ran out of ideas for my ezine.

You CAN hire a Virtual Assistant or a copywriter to write or re-write your articles or blog posts for you, OR you can purchase these economical packages and use the content
as your own.

I do warn you, however, you will want to edit them or get someone else to do so for you. Number one, you do not want “duplicate content” where more than one person is using
the same article, word for word, AND there are quite often typos and spelling errors in packages with hundreds or thousands of documents. This said, it is usually very cost
and time efficient to try these out, I have found, if nothing else, a lot of good nudges
toward an idea that ends up helping me actually write something of my very own. :-)

Bonus with the above 600 Articles Package, purchase this product and I will proofread
and edit any one niche from the package for you FOR FREE and any others you might
want done for half my normal rate.

Remember, I am a Virtual Assistant who LOVES to do editing,
proofreading and transcription assignments!
